Mother Fix-it: What it was, what it is now and what it will be.

Life has a funny way of changing course and then draging you along for the ride.

What it was

Mother fix-it started out as a safe place for myself and others to reinvent ourselves after trauma, empty nest or any so-called “midlife crises”. Now, Mother Fix-It is still a safe place, that much holds true, however I have come to discover that myself, my readers and my supporters are are looking for more connection, not just directions.

What it is

Now don’t misunderstand, there are some paths that only we can travel. There are times when we have to face a problem, obstacle or task on our own. But doing something on our own does not mean doing things alone. We still need connection. I have discovered an incredible strength that comes from knowing I’m not alone in life.

Even after I have removed the toxic, the narcissistic, the soul sucking, people, events and things from my daily life, I was not alone. I had a much smaller community, yes, but the quality of that community is immense. The conversations are richer, the events are more meaningful, the laughter is free-flowing and the understanding is deeper.

What it will be

This is what I want to create with you. A place of connection. A place where stories and experiences are shared in an effort to engage and uplift each other. To guide one another or just to connect in a way that says, “yes, I do understand you.”

I do realize that with this change comes the possibility of readers leaving. That this isn’t the content you are here for. So to that I say thank you. Thank you for your time, your attention and your thoughtful insights. I wish you the best in everything you do and that your future is everything you dream it could be. And you are always welcome here.

So my friends, I invite you to brew a beverage, get comfortable and enjoy a story. One that’s engaging, enlightening or maybe just entertaining, as we travel down this road of life, wherever it may take us.
